Fundraising for Soul Cafe

Hunter CILT-A will be fundraising for the Soul Café during forthcoming events with the aim of raising $1,000 for this worthy cause each year. Please bring along some gold coins to participate in a raffle for a fine bottle of port. Soul Café provides hundreds of free meals per week to highly disadvantaged members of our local community; many of whom are homeless, have a mental illness, substance abuse issue, or live in poverty.

Previous Hunter Function

Site Visit to Mainfreight’s new Hunter Operations Centre

The recent visit to Mainfreight’s site at Beresfield showcased the company’s operations and unique business model. Many thanks to all the management team who presented on the many facets of the company’s processes and successful focus on specific market segments. Mainfreight finished the site tour with a hearty barbecue and further time to answer questions. The success of this event indicates that Hunter CILT-A members and guests are keen to experience local transport and logistics industry operations so any suggestions for future site visits would be warmly welcomed by the committee.
