Queensland border controls - Update

Published: 01/08/2020

Queensland border controls

The Queensland Government has announced tighter border restrictions will come into effect from 1:00am on Saturday, 8 August.

The exemption framework for freight movement remains in place under these tighter controls.

Freight workers must complete a Queensland Border Declaration Pass that indicates they are entering Queensland to perform an essential activity.

Freight workers are also reminded that as much as possible, they must remain isolated from the general public and in their vehicle or accommodation until they depart Queensland, or for 14 days (whichever is shorter).
