Hunter Valley Coal Chain Coordinator

(HVCCC)




The HVCCC has three vacancies available to those who may be interested.

The HVCCC’s mission is to plan and co-ordinate the co-operative daily operation and long term capacity alignment of the Hunter Valley Coal Chain. Its strategic objectives include;
  • To plan and schedule the movement of coal through the Hunter Valley Coal Chain in accordance with the agreed collective needs and contractual obligations of Producers and Service Providers;
  • To ensure minimum total logistics cost and maximised volumes through the provision of appropriate analysis and advice on capacity constraints (whether physical, operational or commercial) affecting the efficient operation of the Hunter Valley Coal Chain; and
  • To advocate positions, on behalf of Producers and Service Providers, to other stakeholders and governments on issues relevant to the efficient operation of the Coal Chain in order to maximise opportunities for improved co-ordination and/or further expansion of the Coal Chain.

Under its new structure HVCCC plays a pivotal role in the:
  • Determination of contractible system capacity and assumptions;
  • Measurement of actual performance against system assumptions and allocation of system losses; and
  • Usage of contractual entitlement and administration of transfers of entitlement between parties.
The HVCCC is uniquely placed to have a complete 'helicopter' view of the entire Hunter Valley Coal Chain.

HVCC's current openings  are:

Service Delivery Co-ordinator:

  • Drive a customer centric approach in service delivery
  • 3 x Day Roster (7 day) positions
  • 1 x Monday – Friday position

 

The Hunter Valley Coal Chain Coordinator (HVCCC) is a member funded, independent, one-of-its-kind logistics organisation that coordinates the planning, scheduling and operational execution of the Hunter Valley Coal Chain. Through its unique end-to-end system view, HVCCC provides members with insights, advice and analysis to improve efficiency and maximise their value from the shared infrastructure of the Hunter Valley Coal Chain.

 

The role of HVCCC is to “Lead Collaboration and Innovate for the Best Imaginable Supply Chain”.  Having recently endorsed the 2018-2027 Strategic Plan, the business is going through significant change to enable the provision of the next generation supply chain for customers as a result, we are making substantial investment in areas such as our planning and systems. We are committed to attracting leaders and innovators to support this period of growth.

 

There are a number of newly created opportunities, including the Service Delivery Coordinator role. Reporting to the Service Delivery Lead – Planning and Execution, this key role is pivotal to the successful delivery of services for customers of HVCCC.  The Service Delivery Coordinators work together with shared accountability for day-to-day operational execution of HVCCC planning, scheduling and live run services spanning the 1 day to 1 month horizon. 

 

Selection Criteria:

-        Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience in supply chains, logistics or related industries

-        A minimum of 5 years experience supervising diverse teams and/or projects is highly desirable

-        A robust understanding of supply chain constraints.

-        Experience in leading or implementing complex or large change programs is desired.

-        Experience in customer centric organisations or customer service delivery roles.

-        High level analytical and problem solving skills.

-        Demonstrated ability to work flexibly within tight time schedules and in accordance with variable workload demands.

-        Ability to build relationships with clients and internally with all levels of the Company.

-        Alignment to HVCCC core cultural values which are fundamental to the way we approach each other and our customers.

Service Delivery Lead – Planning and Execution

Selection Criteria:

-        Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience in Supply chains, logistics or related industries

-        A minimum of 5 years experience leading & managing diverse teams

-        Experience in successfully leading complex or large change programs

-        Robust understanding of supply chain constraints

-        Experience in working in a highly complex and ambiguous environment.

-        Experience in customer centric organisations or customer service delivery roles is preferable

-        High level interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.

-        High level analytical and problem solving skills

-        Alignment to HVCCC core cultural values which are fundamental to the way we approach each other and our customers.

Reporting to the Capacity Planning Manager, the role drives innovation and leads strategic programs aligned to the HVCCC strategy. The Role transforms HVCCC planning services from a bespoke planning model attempting to meet all needs, to one based on agreed objective functions.

 

Selection Criteria:

-        Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience

-        A minimum of 5 years experience in working in a complex and challenging environment with responsibility for leading and successfully implementing significant change.

-        Experience in creation of Customer Centric culture (outside-in) or Customer service delivery roles;

-        Experience leading innovation projects;

-        Ability to quickly gather facts, make analysis and recommendations and influence others in a highly complex, and at times ambiguous environment;

-        Demonstrated ability to work flexibly within tight time schedules and in accordance with variable workload demands.

-        Ability to build relationships with clients and internally with all levels of the Company.

-        Alignment to HVCCC core cultural values which are fundamental to the way we approach each other and our customers.
