Given the current changes in traveler behaviour due to the pandemic, there is increasing interest in road user charging schemes as a new approach to manage and finance regional transport systems. Managing congestion effectively is the only way to ensure cities can achieve economic stability while maintaining a safe environment for all users.
This can only be achieved by ensuring that travellers pay their fair share of the cost of transportation infrastructure, and in return receive an efficient and safe end-to-end journey.
