AEPCOMM approved commodities update due to changes in ABF tariff classifications

Freight & Trade Alliance (FTA) has received advice from the Department of Agriculture, Water and the Environment (the department) via Industry Advice Notice 150-2021 of updates to  AEPCOMM approved commodities due to changes in Australian Border Force (ABF)  tariff classification

What has changed?

Due to changes in the Australian Border Force tariffs classifications affecting goods under Chapter 7: Edible vegetables and certain roots and tubers (Australian Custom Notice No 2021/12); the department has updated tariff references in scope of the AEPCOMM approved arrangement for commodity groups:
  • Fresh onions and shallots from New Zealand, United States and Netherlands
  • Semi-processed onions and shallots from China for human consumption
The former in scope tariff reference (0703.10.10) has been updated to 0703.10.0033. Please refer to the Approved commodities and related information for class 19.2 AEPCOMM approved arrangement.
