 The pandemic has exacerbated the existing challenge of labour shortages in the supply chain – especially when sickness, lockdowns and panic buying come into the equation. Smarter labour management can counteract these challenges: 

 Implementing a strong labour management system can improve productivity gains by 10 to 20 per cent. 

  • Providing good training and flexible working hours can attract and retain staff 
  • Offering achievable incentives and rewards keeps staff motivated and goal focussed 
  • Automating processes at different scales throughout the business supports productivity 
  • Using existing human resources more efficiently to avoid hiring more
