Electrification is an important part of achieving reductions in transport emissions, but requires infrastructure and planning for successful roll out. This is especially true of heavy vehicles which place significant demand for power on the grid through weight and high levels of use.
Effective public transport fleet electrification planning needs accurate estimation of the charging demand, while taking into account factors such as penetration levels, routes and various charging strategies, e.g., depot-based or en-route charging in transit stops.
This presentation will cover the final outcomes of the collaboration between iMOVE, C4NET, and RMIT University.
There will be a Q&A and panel discussion at the end to answer any questions and also to discuss the wider progress with vehicle electrification and impact on the grid.
Even if you're unable to attend we recommend you register, as we will advise by email those registered when the recording of the event is available.
